Mazu Cultural Arts Festival:

The Taichung Mazu International Tourism and Culture Festival has been held for many years, inviting outstanding local and national teams to perform, allowing people from both domestic and international communities to understand the Mazu faith and local culture through performances at various Mazu temples in Taichung. Continuing the theme of "Walking with Mazu" this year, over 30 high-quality teams will be invited to perform, inviting the public to experience this cultural festival that combines art and religion.

The first event is scheduled for February 13th (the fourth day of the Lunar New Year) at 7 p.m., with a performance by the Taichung Puppet Troupe at the parking lot of XinShe Senior High School in XinShe District. People are welcome to join in the festivities in XinShe! Following that, on the eve of Lantern Festival, February 23rd (Friday) at 7 p.m., there will be two performances. One will feature Hot Shock, Tap Radio, and street performer Zhou Ziyi at Dalishi Pavilion in Fuxing Temple, while the other will showcase YunFire INFERNO Dance Troupe, Huangma Band, and UniKe at Lercheng Temple in Taichung.

On the evening of Lantern Festival, February 24th (Saturday) at 7 p.m., there will be three simultaneous performances. These include the Lantern Festival Evening Gala at Dajia Zhenlan Temple, featuring performances by Taichung Wenweilong Lion and Drum Troupe, Extreme Physical Dance Troupe, Douglas (duo juggling performance), Green Dragon (cello & Chinese flute ensemble), artist How Z, Chen Hua, and All In 5; Haotian Temple in Dazhuang invites Huang Yuxiang, Fantu Performing Arts, street artist Liao Xunyou, and the Ningzhi Dance Dance Class from Yongning Community to perform together; and Wanhe Temple in Nantun invites Guoguang Opera Troupe to perform. There will be a series of wonderful performances, so be sure not to miss out!

Starting from April, performances by well-known teams such as Jin Yu Garden Puppet Troupe, Miaoxuan Dance Troupe, Xuanhao Band, Jiutian Folk Art Troupe, and Minghua Garden Traditional Chinese Opera Troupe will be held at various temples including Nanxing Temple in Beitun, Wanchun Temple in Taichung, Wanhing Temple in Shekou, Tzu Chi Temple in Fengyuan, Wanxing Temple in Dadu, and Chaoyuan Temple in Wuci.
